Jared earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Philosophy, achieving High Honours and being named to the Dean’s List, before entering the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan and earning his Juris Doctor. During law school, Jared spent his summers working with the Ministry of Justice in their Public Prosecutions Division, acquainting him early with legal practice. He was able to run several hundred summary offence trials during this time earning him significant litigation experience early in his career. Jared has also volunteered with CLASSIC (Community Legal Assistance Services for Saskatoon Inner City Inc.) by assisting with pro-bono legal services and with the local SPCA in various capacities.
Jared articled and practiced at a prominent firm in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and, in 2018, he joined the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers’ Association as their District Governor for Moose Jaw. That same year, he also joined the Board of Directors for the Moose Jaw Humane Society which included him advising on Labour and Employment matters.
